several species of Cyclothone, a deepwater fish sometimes called a "bristle
mouth." Rarely visible at depths that man can readily reach, the fish is
about the size of a small minnow. It is netted at 500 meters or deeper all

I believe it depends on the business cycle. When jobs
are endangered, endangered species don't matter to
most people; in times of prosperity, they do.
here in the UK water companies were privatised five or six years ago. Last
year we had a hot dry summer and in one area in particular (Yorkshire),
there were very severe water shortages. The privatised water company had
filled in three reservoirs to sell off the land for profit. The water
shortage was so bad that the company planned to evacuate thousands of
people. All the result of unbridled market forces.
This winter and summer has been particularly dry, so watch this space.
Market forces in the form of continued unsustainable economic growth and
never mind the consequences let the oil economy rip - all of this is
creating global warming, which in some parts of the world is stopping
water from falling from the sky.
